Comarch Semiramis can be broken down logically into the following layers:
The result of this separation alone is an outstanding scaling option. All three different layers can be allocated physically. The Comarch Semiramis applications logic can be installed on any number of computers in accordance with the workload in order to achieve load sharing.
In most 3-tier architectures, data management cannot be allocated, and it therefore represents the limit of scalability. This means that when the database server is operating on the largest possible hardware and this hardware reaches its limits, scalability has reached its maximum limits, too.
Here, Comarch Semiramis goes one step further. Data management has been partitioned once again logically to even offer scaling options on the data management level as well. Comarch Semiramis data have been allocated to altogether 3 logical databases in accordance with their specific application.
